If you
feel the manufacturer approved service for your
car goes into too much detail especially when it
is out of warranty, rest assured you're not alone.
We've made a car service schedule which is as
simple to understand as ABC, will be cheaper to
follow and it can be used
for most popular modern (1980's onwards) petrol driven
passenger vehicles. Read below for details.
Our
service schedule provides inspection and routine
replacement of all vital car components at
reasonable timelines when considering typical
serviceable items. Whist cars can look very
different on the outside, basically the service
requirements all remain similar - you need to
change the oil, check the brakes, check the
fluids etc.
If
your car is covered by some sort of warranty, we
highly recommend you follow the prescribed service schedule
so you don't risk your warranty coverage - this
is protection worth having.
Please read the conditions on the
bottom of this page.
To help
you, we've created print
versions of the service coupons
to help you obtain a service quote from your
regular repairer. The idea being that you tell them what
you'd like to have done, rather than the other
way around. As well as these coupons, we
understand the effect service history has on
improving re-sale value, so we created a history
page you can print for your repairer to stamp,
date and sign when they complete a service.
Refer below for a full description of the Car
Specials ABC Car Service Schedule.

Car Servicing -
Understanding is as simple
as ABC
Our servicing schedules are
based on the most common manufacturer service
intervals and these have been standardised in an
easy to follow way.
We recommend servicing every
6 months/15,000klms and at the very least once a year.
If left unchecked for too long, your vehicle's
running costs could skyrocket. Dangers include
debris from the road disturbing the under
carriage of your vehicle and causing lubricant
leaks which could result in complete component
failure.
Car Service Specials' service
intervals have been created by a qualified
mechanic to ensure your vehicle remains in a
safe and reliable working condition. Please
note, these intervals may not be of use for high
performance and commercial vehicles.
We recommend you have the
following intervals in succession and then
continue the cycle as follows:
1/
A Service
should be performed in a timeframe of 6
to 12 months or 10,000klms since last service.
2/

and information on this page are property which
belongs to carspecials.com.au, it is a free

have no intention of copying it for commercial
use. Unfortunately we have to make the following
statement to protect ourselves and if you have
any doubts, please do not use our schedule.
Carspecials.com.au takes no responsibility
whatsoever which may arise out of servicing
using this schedule. This is not because we have
any doubts about its legitimacy, but it is
because there are too many variables which can
lead to failure of components, even when a car
is serviced to the Manufacturer recommended
intervals. Cars unfortunately fail even when
they are serviced correctly - servicing reduces
overall car ownership costs, significantly reduces
major component failure and the inconvenience of
a breakdown.
